16th Century Buff Leather Jerkin

This jerkin is copied from a surviving jerkin in The Museum of Leathercraft which is currently in the care of Northampton Borough Council. It is a late 16th century buff leather jerkin with silk ribbons. It is made from oil tanned buff leather and all the seams are butt stitched. It is lined with linen and has silk taffeta ribbons with hand made brass points on the ends. The lacing down the front is false - instead it fastens with hooks and eyes.

Available to order only.

Guide price £700 - £900
