Money Purses
Money purses come in a variety of shapes and sizes. They are made from vegetable tanned goat skins that have been dyed using period dyes and are made entirely by hand. This style is held closed with double drawstrings and measure 4 x 5 inches (10 x 15 cm) when open.

These round bottomed money purses are larger than the square ones and are held closed with double drawstrings. They measure 5 1/2 x 6 inches (14 x 15 cm) when open

This style of money purse is based on one found in Sommelsdijk date around 1500. The gathered part is sewn onto a rear piece of stiffer leather. They measure 3 1/2 x 5 inches (9x13 cm).

This style can also have the edges bound in thin leaher with an internal divider sewn inside.
