15th/16th century small belt bag

This belt bag is made from tan goat and calf skin and is stitched by hand. The design is taken from a surviving example found on the wreck of the Mary Rose and and is a common style in the 15th and 16th century. It has a draw string bag that is held closed with a button flap and hangs from a belt loop. The drawstrings have hand made beads on the ends.

It measures 6 x 9 inches (15 x 22cm).
Price: £28.00
