17th century buckled baldric

17th century buckled baldric
This baldric is made from dark brown cattle hide and is stitched by hand. The design for this baldric comes from a portrait of Col Thomas St Aubyn dated 1641. It has a large ornate brass buckle, keeper and strap end that allows the length to be adjusted and the seams are stitched with a decorative cross stitch.

It is 65 inches (164cm) long from the bottom, over the shoulder and back to the bottom and can be adjusted to 72 inches (182cm) long . The strap is 3 inches (7.7cm) wide at the narrowest point and the two loops are 6 1/2 inches (16cm) wide. The loops will take a sword scabbard that is up to 2 1/2 inches(6cm) wide.
Price: £125.00
