Thread wrapped buttons where commonly used on clothing from the 14th until the 18th century. They are made by wrapping wooden beads with silk or linen thread and are available in a wide range of designs and colours.

The round buttons are stitched around 10mm hard wood beads and the half domed buttons are stitched around 12mm beads. Colours can be matched to your specification. Please note: the metal threads are real gold threads and will tarnish over time.
