These purses are made from vegetable tanned goat skins that have been dyed using period dyes and they are made entirely by hand. The design for this purse comes from a number of illustrations and surviving examples. They hang from a leather cord and are held closed by two leather draw strings which each has a miniature purse on the end.. They have decorative piped seams, hand made linen tassels and hand made grass beads.

The main purse measures 8 x 7 inches (20 x 18 cm) when open and the small purses are 3 x 3 inches (7 x 7 cm).
