These belt bags are made from vegetable tanned calf and goat skins that have been dyed using period dyes and they are made entirely by hand. The design for this bag comes from 'The Seven Virtues' by Pieter Bruegel 1559 and is a common design in the 15th and 16th centuries. They have a draw string bag and they hang from a belt loop. The more elaborate version has decorative tooling on the belt loop and flap and piping in the main seam.
They measure 9 inches wide and 11 inches (22 x 28 cm) when open.
