These crossbow quarrel boxes are made from vegetable tanned calf skin that is dyed using period dyes and they are stitched entirely by hand. The design for them is based on a surviving example in the Swiss National Museum in Zürich. They hold a dozen crossbow bolts and are suitable for quarrels that are between 12 and 15 inches long (30-38cm).
They are 17 inches(43cm) long overall and 5 inches(12cm) wide at the widest point.
