14th - 17th century large sausage bag

This bag is made from tan calf skin and is stitched by hand. The design for this bag comes from a number of illustrations and is a typical style of shoulder bag between the 14th and 17th centuries. It has a circle of leather stitched into the base which gives it a lot of room inside and the bag is kept closed with a strong leather drawstring and a leather slider.

The bag measures 13 inches wide and 28 long (33 x 71cm) when open and the circle at the bottom is 9 inches (22cm) in diameter. The strap, including the bag, is 60 inches(152cm) long.
Price: £95.00
