Ladies 15th/16th century drawstring purse with side gusset and piped seams

This purse is made from brown goat skin with tan piping and is stitched by hand. The design for this purse comes from illustrations in "Musicerend paar" by Lucas van Leyden - 1524 and was a common style in the 15th and 16th centuries. It hangs from a leather cord and the top is held closed by two leather draw strings which have hand made beads on the ends.

It measures 7 x 7 inches (18 x 18cm) when open.
