16th/17th century sword hanger #116th/17th century sword hanger #2
This nine loop sword hanger is made from oak gall black calf and cattle hide that has been dyed using period dyes and is made entirely by hand. It has cast bronze fittings with an adjustable waist belt and suspension strap and the suspension points can be moved to balance the sword correctly. The straps are decorated with incised lines.

The hanger body is 11 inches (28cm) long and 8 1/2 inches (22cm) wide. The belt is 7/8 inch wide (22mm) and can be up to 55 inches (140cm) long.
